This adult size beanie pattern is easy to follow (well written and tested by other crochet designers) and works up easily and fast (in about 45 minutes or less). Learning how to crochet a basic beanie that is fast and easy to make is a staple item for any crochet enthusiast. Because of the fact that this hat requires you to know how to crochet a double crochet, I have categorized it as an advanced beginner pattern. Also, many beginners find it hard to slip stitch when working in rounds (their seams are always a little wonky) and so although this is a basic beginner pattern it can be a little bit of a challenge for crocheters that have never worked in rounds. The basic design of this hat has allowed me to design some of the finished hats I sell in my shop.
